Dear PWA Members and friends,
On behalf of the Executive Board and team, I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! I hope 2020 started in the best way in preparation for an extraordinary year ahead. Personally, it is an honor to have the opportunity to work with all of you to ensure that the PWA provides you value and meaningful support and that the organization is well positioned for years to come.
PWA is a unique place of excellent women, who have distinguished themselves for their skills, human qualities, courage, sensitivity and determination but also models to follow for the younger generations. We have grown in membership and community engagement across the areas we serve. Together with you, we continue to evolve into a stronger, increasingly vital component of the Italian business landscape.
In fact, we are proud of our President Valentina Ferretti for being one of the six selected Women in Red of Vodafone Italia thanks to her effort in supporting other women, making diversity a great value, and for her continuous work in creating an inclusive community. Let us congratulate our board secretary Avv. Raffaela Di Primo for winning the PWA Winter Queen award thanks to her hard work and professional contribution. Moreover, get inspired by our member Marilina Colella, who won the Standout Woman Award 2019 among the excellent managers awarded in the Parliament.
Each of our members is a fountain of inspiration and with your help we will continue to actively advocate for women both local and international level. This season we are preparing innovative initiatives and solutions to improve member’s access to opportunities that empower, build knowledge and skills for the future.
Today, PWA facilitates dialogue on all levels and actively support #inclusionedonna standing with other 52 associations all together to reduce the employment gap between women and men. A movement with initiatives to advance the mission to close the gap towards gender equity.
I encourage all businesses and professionals who believe in sharing information, ideas and resources to create mutual opportunities to join us and help us provide a space for new collaboration. A space towards women empowerment through education, raising awareness, and revolutionary action to make the world a better place.
