PWA Rome was registered legally (through an Italian notary) as a non profit association in 2007 and has been issued with a codice fiscale. Founders of PWA Rome were acting Board Members Linda Botha (President), Dulce Casadiego (Secretary) and Michelle Bassanesi (Treasurer).

The Professional Women’s Association (PWA) is the only group of its kind which provides women in Rome with their very own Forum for exchanging more than ideas -- shaping their businesses, sharing contacts while forging friendships, and offering ways to support each other's careers and ambitions -- in short, improving themselves, their work and their Roman experience.

Since 1992, PWA has been the place for women to network for personal and professional opportunities. Our 60+ members from nearly 20 countries hail from all different professions and levels of business management, including education, marketing, linguistics, law, new media, medicine, travel, journalism, finance, gastronomy, small businesses, government bodies and the arts. We are multilingual, multicultural with most having lived/worked in more than one country.

We meet once a month as a group to network, share stories and hear a professional speak about topics of interest to Professional Women for their careers, their lifestyles or their world. Meetings are formal, but followed by a Q&A period, in which you can interact with speaker. Afterwards, we adjourn for a networking aperitivo and continue the conversations.

Yes you are required to confirm your participation by sending an email to info@pwarome.org. If you are particpating as a guest please pay your guest feeonline in advance as well. This way you will help us to organise the event.

PWA Rome has a many initiatives and special projects, which range from organising special interest groups or events. If you have a special idea, a specific proposal or simply want to become involved, please send an email to info@pwarome.org with a brief description of your proposal and/or areas of interest. We look forward to proactive collaboration from our members.

Your online payment is safeguarded by SSL (secure sockets layer). PWA Rome uses Paypal for processing your payment, a global and widely accepted service. Your credit card information, will only be used once to debit your card for the amount shown in the Paypal procedure. Your credit card information is not stored for further processing and hence guarantees your security.

We encourage you to pay your membership fee online via credit card (Paypal). You will automatically receive confirmation of payment via email. Otherwise you can pay cash at one of our events.

No, PWA Rome does not restrict membership only to women who are currently employed.

No, you can be located anywhere in Italy or in the world to join.

The membership directory contains members' names, profiles and contact information. To access it, log in as a member on the home page of the PWA website. You will then be prompted to enter your nickname, password and the security code as shown. You will be able to view the membership directory in the Member's Area under Members List

PWA Rome is bound by Privacy Law for non-disclosure of your personal information to third parties and will use your information only for internal puposes.In addition, as a member you have the option to select the information about yourself which you wish to remain private and have the facility to update this yourself. You are requested to contact us at info@pwarome.org, should you wish at any time to be removed from our membership directory.

Career-minded women who have an interest in being part of a dynamic group of professional women, or who just want to partake in one or more events are always welcome. Their guests, men or women, are always welcome, too.

Yes, total guest participation payments (at online rate) are deducted from your membership fee. (e.g. a guest who has attended two meetings and then decides to join PWA Rome, will receive a 20 Euro rebate off their membership fee for guest fees already paid).

We encourage guests to pay online via credit card (Paypal) on our website by applying a reduced fee with respect to cash payment at the event

Guest fees for networking meetings are 10 Euro if paid online and 15 Euro if paid at the event. Special events may have a different fee as communicated by the Board in advance.

Guest are welcome to participate in PWA networking meetings. PWA Rome is however a members only association and therefore guest particpation is limited to a maximum of 2 networking meetings. Please read the section 'Come as a guest' under 'Meetings and Events' Some PWA Rome events are restricted to members only.
