Leadership in Digital Transformation: Why women matter?

Round-table discussion with

Flavia Marzano, Agata Quattrone, Luisa Scarcella and Francesca Mastrogiacomi

This eConference aims at exploring and analysing women’s leadership in the Digital era, which in the following years will supposedly disrupt the labor market and require new technological skills, resilient mindset, and attitudes, such as predilection for STEM studies.

A few reasons that make new technology adoption essential for women’s leadership, but more difficult to be integrated into women’s career development will be discussed, together with the potential interventions and changes that policy makers, businesses, and organisational design processes have to consider to step up and overcome women’s barriers access to digital technologies.

The more women are to be found in high-profile capacities, the better the organisation will perform?

Recent trends and scenarios will be presented, the main questions related with these topics will be discussed, and business cases on how supporting women in STEM professions and boosting women’s digital skills in emerging economies would be a successful shift for organisations.
