Vassilis Chatzigiannis was born in Thessaloniki. He studied Literature in Paris at the Sorbonne University. His great passion since childhood, photography, lead him to study Still Life and Advertising Photography at the Hasselblad University branch in Thessaloniki, where he founded an agency specialized in photography and video advertising with his brother.
Since 1999 he lives in Italy where he works as a photographer, journalist and interpreter. He has worked with a variety of European newspapers, for the foreign press in Italy, collaborates with the embassies of Greece, Cyprus, USA and he is registered as a photojournalist at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has taken pictures of politicians, artists, religious representatives and fashion events. He has participated in group exhibitions and in some personal ones in his country of origin.
