“I’m not afraid of storms, for I’m learning to sail my ship.” – Louisa May Alcott, novelist, and poet
Dear PWA Members, Partners, and friends,
With every challenge, however, comes opportunity, and I can say that the PWA community has demonstrated great resilience and resourcefulness during these unprecedented times.
The Professional Women’s Association has always been a spokesperson for the importance of the role of women in society, rewarding both diversity and sustainability, and believes that now more than ever – following the epidemiological emergency Covid-19 – the social, cultural restart of our economy depends on the strengthening of women in the world of work.
As we reflect on what has transpired, we mourn the tremendous losses experienced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and are humbled by the tasks of rebuilding and regenerating that lay ahead.
Beyond what anyone could have anticipated, it demanded innovation from all of us. We immediately transitioned to the new digital world, and I am so proud of our team’s rapid transformation. Our activities such as Digital Networking ConneXion, eConferences, and BOLD Program have provided for a much-needed respite from the everyday challenges of isolation that many have experienced.
We look ahead toward 2021 with optimism and resolve. The challenges facing the association like PWA are numerous and profound. PWA is committed to doing our part in facilitating collaboration and dialogue to help the men & women members in our community recover and thrive. None of this would be possible without the support of our members and partners, for which we are immensely grateful.
With that in mind, I invite you to please consider showing your support to the Professional Women’s Association and the work that we do.
Here’s wishing you well.
