Women in Industry and Innovation
15-17 July 2020
When crisis causes the world to stand still, as it happened with the COVID-19 emergency…
Could it be an opportunity for a new approach to enhance women’s economic empowerment?
Could the industrial sector offer opportunities that improve the lives and resilience of women?
To give some answers to these questions, the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has organised the International Conference Women in Industry and Innovation.
Promote women’s economic empowerment
Highlight productive opportunities for women through ICTs
Provide a forum for productive discussions on improving the resilience of women during crises such as COVID-19
Who will attend?
The Women in Industry and Innovation international conference will be carried out in a fully virtual environment and will gather international stakeholders, global leaders, practitioners, entrepreneurs, researchers and academia in an effort to promote the development of an inclusive and sustainable environment for the economic empowerment of women. As part of this effort, an Online Collaboration Lab is right now active.
The Professional Women’s Association of Rome is honoured to have been invited to collaborate in this ambitious conference by proposing potential speakers among its wide network of excellent professional women and by sharing some of its experiences on how to inspire women’s success through networking. We will also be present at the Virtual Booths to introduce the work and experiences of our association while promoting and supporting professional women of different nationalities and diverse cultural backgrounds.
Main topics of the Agenda:
Harnessing the potential of women-led entrepreneurship and self-employment in value chain development.
Realising the opportunities for women’s empowerment through ICTs and digital technologies.
Empowering women in circular economy: bridging the gender gap.
