Women’s music is an essential part of world heritage – Empowering women composers recognizes their ability and potential to create new works extolling human rights, involving different cultures and musical fields worldwide.

PWA has been chosen to partner this project commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. FACDIM will run a “Global Call for Scores” for women composers and creators of music of all ages, nationalities and musical backgrounds.   Participants will be invited to compose/create a song, choral or orchestral work, with texts inspired by the ongoing struggle for Human Rights.

Please share this news with  all your  friends and colleagues.
This is not only recognition for the Foundation’s ongoing work during the last 40 years, but also recognition for the  work
carried out (sometimes in great difficulties) by women composers around the world.
