NEW with PWA Rome: The PWA Jobseekers Group |

The PWA jobseekers Group is being created to respond to the demand of
several PWA members who are looking for positions in Rome and finding it
very difficult as the job market is very different from the one in the
countries where they have been working before. Our motto is "together to help each other find a job in Rome". The group is open to professionals who are really motivated to find a position in Rome (Part-time or full-time) as each member of the group will participate pro-actively and commit in the group activities . Therefore the group will be composed of no more than 12 persons. The PWA jobseekers Group will make everyone find her way into the local job market, respecting everyone’s choices and goals: women who know what they want to do but don’t know where and how to look for it, as well as women who are willing to change career while settling in a new country. The group will meet twice a month for 2.5 hours to discuss any member's past, present and future in terms of work. For each meeting – scheduled with all group members to arrange everyone’s agenda- there will be a specific argument to work on, along with individual and group “to do lists”, such as ° CVs in English and Italian, ° work objectives and oral presentation ° how to get contacts, ° how to create networks, ° how to deal with the internet, ° how to deal with recruitment agencies, … further more we will get in contact with key people in Rome who might be helpful for international jobseekers. The PWA Job seekers Group will be chaired by Anne-Gael Chapuis, experienced professional in 4 European countries, who has first participated in such a group in France and created last year with success a Jobseekers Help Group for the French speaking community in Rome.
