Grand Hotel Palace, Rome

RED SOX versus REDSTOCKINGS

Women in Sport – pursuing gender equity

Both baseball supporters and feminist activists have strong beliefs, but how their support is channeled depends on how the media portrays them in social contexts. After some of the prominent women’s world tournaments there has been a wave of policies that support female athletes, with benefits like equal prize money and maternity leave. Raffaella Masciadri, Italian basketball champion and president of the Athlete Commission of the Italian National Olympic Committee, together with Gian Marco Sandri, Founder and CEO of Artmediamix and ArtmediaSport, will share their points of view and perspectives on the future of women in sport.

Gian Marco Sandri
After many years spent in new media and ICT communication field for big corporations, in 2008 Gian Marco Sandri created Artmediamix, an innovative company in which creativity, connection and technology converge. Artmediamix supports international brands in the development of intermedia communication projects in the entertainment market. In March 2019, Sandri and his team launched Artmediasport,  a new Sports&Enterteinment branch dedicated to  the image management of sport champions and to the development of projects of advisory, advocacy and charity. At the center there are the sports athletes with an unexpressed emotional potential that can and must be conveyed, for the benefit of all, towards a world of interested users who today are struggling to meet their needs. The relationship with the big brands in terms of promoting sponsorship is very important, but it is the type of services and products that the company will offer that provides another point of view. Artmediasport works alongside institutions and supports social projects that promptly give back values to the territory.
