And here is the great news: according to the Boston Consulting Group, businesses founded by women ultimately deliver higher revenue—more than twice as much per dollar invested—than those founded by men, making women-owned companies better investments for financial backers.
Hummustown is a recent, local food start-up, the brain-child of Shaza and Loma Saker, two Syrian women based in Rome, who wanted to give refugees from their home-country a chance to work and thrive in a new culture, sharing an important part of the heritage with the local community.
